Louis Ferdinand MALESPINA (French, 1874 – 1940)
He was born in Saint-Nicolas-du-Port, next to the city of Nancy (in the East) on June 21st 1874.
He studied with two great masters, Fernand Cormon and Edouard Detaille. From 1908, he exhibited at the Salon of French Artists and won an honorable mention in 1910 and a golden medal in 1925.
He mostly realised cavalry attacks and horse races. He was also a history painter.
